Beauty. Bleakness. Life. Death.

Nature’s sorrow and joy.

Black and white.
Wrong and right.
Sorrow and joy.
Day and night.
Dim and bright.
Death and life.
…Weird couples...

It was cold. Below zero. I stood there, wrapped in my warm coat. Feeling not so warm. Gazing at the tall and firm white mountains.

Snow blanketed everything. Another level of sadness. Quietness. No wind. No sound.

Whiteness stretched as far as I could see. It felt like nature itself was mourning.

A shroud of purity hid everything beneath. It felt lifeless. But it was full of life too.

I often go into the mountains to find peace. Away from the rat race. To find myself. To connect with the higher power. To cleanse my soul.

Away from noise. From hypocrites. From everything.

This time I wanted to find stillness. And stillness I found.

Walking aimlessly with no one around, I spotted a black crow.

A lifeless black crow. On the white snow.

A dark silhouette in a sea of white. Stark contrast.
