We’ll Meet in the Luscious Gardens of Valhalla
Your infinite excellence and glory call for praise,
but with my limited knowledge,
I don’t know how to write that for you
though I’ll try to find a few ways.
Earth, moon, sun, stars, and multiverses,
seconds, minutes, weeks, months, and years,
joy, sorrow, surprises, smiles, and tears,
seabed to sky, everything is yours.
Neither I know your start nor the end,
I know in this lonely world, you are my only friend.
You are the creator, you are the saviour,
you are the master of my every behavior.
Be it dusk or dawn, light, or dark
you always ignite in me; love and kindness’s spark.
Beggar, poor, vibrant, and wealthy, commoners, kings,
sick and healthy; other than a few, everyone bows to you.
You answer my every chant and help me
achieve the things which alone I can’t.
On-time come the day and night
follow your orders; crawling, walking, and everything in flight.
Living in ignorance, I commit sins
but you’re the loving and merciful
always bringing me more success
even though I don’t deserve any wins.
With the worldly desires in my heart,
living a double life, I’m the most significant fraud
but I believe you’ll forgive me
being my merciful Lord.
And, from a long sleep, you’ll make me rise
to walk the golden chiselled path to meet you
in the luscious gardens of Valhalla (Jannat Al Firdaus / Heaven)
— the promised paradise
to stay with you for an eternal life.
Ab initio to ad infinitum, Salam’s soul craves for Divine’s love. Enchanted by that, he has been searching for all that matters.
