What Do Your Customers Want From You? A Little Bit Of Empathy!
‘Agile’ is happening everywhere. It’s the buzzword of the 21st century. A lot of companies are on the Agile transformation journey. When you ask someone working in such organisations if they have successfully adopted Agile, majority of them might answer something like:
We are Agile (we do Scrum, Kanban, Spotify Tribes Model, SAFe, DAD <insert any cool Agile framework/methodology/model here>). We have successfully transformed from a waterfall organisation to a fully Agile and Lean company. We don’t write detailed requirement documents; instead, we have user stories Etc.
When you ask them if they talk to their customers and if they know they are building the right thing for the customers, you may hear something like:
Well, for that we’ve product owners who talk to customers. We send them surveys. We try to do user research. But, we have to build what our ‘stakeholders ask us to’!
What do customers want? Let’s try to understand that.
We all are customers. We use websites, software tools, mobile apps, TV apps, video games and whatnot.
